Time to Charge a golf cart’s batteries depends on a number of factors

The time to charge a golf cart’s batteries depends on a number of factors,  the first one being the quality of your batteries.

Secondly, how discharged your batteries are and lastly, the quality of your golf cart charger.

Say you have brand new batteries and assume they are 20-30% discharged.  If you’ve got a heavy duty battery charger, then it can be pretty quick – maybe 1 to 3 hours.

If you have old batteries that are very discharged and, you have a lightweight 2 to 5 amp battery charger, it may take quite a long time –  perhaps 10 hours or more.

New Battery ?

A relatively-new battery – say 1-3 years old – will typically charge quicker than an older battery. For comparison, a five-year-old battery that is almost fully discharged may take 10 hours or more to charge while a newer battery with the same discharge level may only take 1-3 hours to reach full power capacity.

Therefore, it could vary quite a bit depending on the factors above.
